Siebel IP2016 – Siebel Enterprise Server Installation Part 1

We are going to setup a Siebel server Solaris box with below configurations,

OS:Solaris Sparc 11
Oracle Database Server : 11.2.0
Oracle Database Client: 12c
Siebel: Innovation Pack 16
Webserver: Iplanet Webserver 7

Download all required softwares, create image and start installation. In this post, I will cover only Siebel installation assuming that image created successfully and non-siebel softwares installed properly.

Step 1: Installing Siebel Enterprise Server

• Login as SADMIN user
• Navigate to Install folder in which setup files are located, in our case
  /u01/Siebel_Install_Image/16.0.0.0/Solaris/Server/Siebel_Enterprise_Server/Disk1/install
• Run Command “./runInstaller -invPtrloc /u01/app/oraInventory/oraInst.loc”

Step 2: Configuring Siebel Gateway Server

• Now for gateway configuration, navigate to $SIEBEL_HOME/gtwysrvr directory
• Run . ./cfgenv.sh
• Navigate to $SIEBEL_HOME/config directory
• For gateway use command ./config.sh -mode enterprise

Step 3: Configuring Siebel Enterprise Server

• Now for Siebel Enterprise Configuration use ./config.sh -mode enterprise

Step 4: Configuring Siebel Web server Logical profile

• Now for Siebel web server extension logical profile use ./config.sh -mode enterprise
