Yes!!!! THERE WILL BE NO WHITE SPACE EVEN IF THERE ARE NO RECORDS.
I am talking about this space…
In older versions of OpenUI, applet dimensions are fixed. So, if there are no records then it will filled with white space.
I remember when I was working on IP2013, my sensible client yelled at me..
Why can’t we remove this white space ???
Well we tried but with our limited expertise in jQuery/CSS, it only resulted in distorted UI.. 🙁
But guess what, Oracle itself fix this white space issue. Applets will take only that much space what required by number of records. And will get collapse if there are no records.
No White Space even in Query Mode
Maybe on first look, you find this feature awkward, even I find it. Don’t worry, you have the control to disable this.
- Go to Administration-Application -> System Prefrences
- Query for “Enable Elastic Grid”
- Set this value to “N”
