As per my experience, while working 8.1.1.11 this is the exact expectations of our client (Fully Responsive, Flashy Icons etc) which we somehow not able to complete. Anyway, the most amazing feature now , about what I always wonder is…
In applet toolbars, all buttons got replaced by simple & sober Icons while its same in HI. How do they do it ???
Button Icons
I search all folders for these Icon images but I found same old HI images only. Then from where these coming from ?
You must have heard about web fonts and related Icons. Yes, nowadays we are using vector images instead traditional images which don’t required any further formatting or designing. All you need is to Install Fonts and use unique codes to get different icons. I suggest you guys to visit this link.
I already used these Icons in 8.1.1.11 but here is one big difference and that is the best part only.
How do they do it ?
- Installed Google Roboto Fonts & create their own svg files.
- In CSS file, they mapped Icons codes with button classes.
- Hide Button text & html part.
- So, in Open UI mode when this css file comes in role we can see these icons but in HI there is no css file and we can see usual buttons only.
